Questions beginners ask
What can I build after these courses?
By the end of the three courses you can build and publish your own responsive website, and small apps like a to-do list or a tip calculator that save data and react to clicks.
Which programming language should I learn first?
For the web, start with HTML, then CSS, then JavaScript. HTML gives you structure, CSS makes it look good, and JavaScript makes it interactive. Our learning paths lay out the exact order.
Do I need to install anything?
No. All code runs in your browser. When you are ready, the HTML editors lesson shows you how to set up VS Code on your own computer.
How long does it take to learn HTML, CSS and JavaScript?
With 30 to 60 minutes a day, most beginners finish the HTML course in about a week, CSS in two weeks and JavaScript basics in three to four weeks. Building projects is what makes it stick.
How is this different from other tutorial sites?
Every lesson follows one loop on a single page: learn, run, change, practise, quiz and challenge. Examples are original, explanations go line by line, and challenges are checked automatically instead of just comparing text.
